I live in Ocala, Fl. There’s not that many reputable cake companies where you can walk in and buy a cake. Actually, the only one I can think of would be Publix. Do you know how much they charge?!?!?!!?
That’s right, $381 – $900.

Sheri’s Acrylic Tips
· TRUST YOUR HANDS AND EYES; LET THEM TAKE OVER ONCE IN A WHILE. YOU’LL BE SURPRISED JUST HOW MUCH YOUR BRAIN MIGHT MESS THINGS UP IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT TOO MUCH.
· TAKE A FEW STEPS BACK FROM YOUR PAINTING AND JUDGE PROPORTION, COMPOSITION, AND COLORS FREQUENTLY. DO THIS DURING ALL OF YOUR PAINTING. IF SOMETHING JUST DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT, IT NEEDS ATTENTION.
· BE MESSY! IT’S FUN!
· RELAX; YOU CAN ALWAYS COVER YOUR MISTAKES WITH ANOTHER LAYER OF PAINT. MOST OF THE TIME, THE MISTAKES BECOME THE BEST PARTS OF YOUR PAINTING!
· THINK IN LAYERS.
· PULL COLORS FROM YOUR PAINTING AND USE THEM THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PAINTING AS SHADOWS OR HIGHLIGHTS. THIS CREATES A BALANCED AND COHESIVE PAINTING.
· PAINT OUTSIDE IN NATURAL LIGHT. COLORS ARE A GIFT TO THE ACRYLIC PAINTER. NATURAL LIGHT WILL HELP YOU SEE WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY CREATING. IT’S ALSO NICE BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING PAINT ON THE GRASS.
· USE LOTS OF WATER AND WORK YOUR WAY UP IF YOUR HAND IS NOT SURE WHAT IT IS DOING. SOMETIMES I WILL LAYER WASH AFTER WASH AFTER WASH UNTIL I GET WHAT I WANT. THIS JUST CREATES AN EVEN MORE INTERESTING PAINTING!

So, we were supposed to close on the house today. At least, that was the original plan. I knew it was going to get pushed back, but it still makes me cranky nonethless. I worked a LOT so I could have today off, and I have this weekend off to move in. Except, I don’t have a house to move into yet. I can’t help but to be extremely excited though. I still can’t believe I will be a gen-ui-ne bon-a-fide homeowner!
Started the newest class today for AIO. It’s graphic symbolism. OOOOOOOO, mysterious! I’m pretty stoked because I’m always suprised by what my prethought of a term is to what is actually involved. For example, typography=some font and stuff. I ended up learning SO MUCH! Now I can’t even look at the back of a semi truck without deciphering the type and placement of all the text. It’s very hard thinking like this, and it makes my driving less than stellar. lol.
Anywho, here’s crossing my fingers to getting into the house early next week! X
My first assignment for this new class was to pick a mythological symbol that describes a personality trait. I picked cupid’s bow.
