This class was one of the most difficult for me, and I think the reason why is I didn’t get to spend any time on my projects. Let’s just say that real life got in the way and it totally sucked! I didn’t really want to post any of my assignments since I wasn’t happy with any of them (except the one of my hubby up there done entirely in illustrator using layers and the pen tool,) but I figured someone might get some use out of it.
Our main project of this class was designing a book cover in illustrator. I had such high hopes for the assignment, but couldn’t seem to get anything how I wanted it. Blah.

Also, we had a few different assignments using layers, brush tools, and different mesh tools in Illustrator:

9-10 hours to bake and assemble.

I’ve been working on a cake site, but it’s still in construction. I’ve already had some great tips about the fonts, but any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Ps. tell my husband to help me make it! AH!

hand dyed tablecloth and rose painting

Trying to decorate my new house, and it is a long process. Started working on the dining area so I decided to dye a table cloth and make a painting. It was a little tougher than I thought. Flowers are something I don’t do often and it was a bit challenging. Trying to create a 3 dimensional object using hues that aren’t very different from each other is hard! Nonetheless; I like how both turned out.

oh man! it’s been a while!!! new cakes!
Wow! So, I haven’t posted in absolutely forever but honestly I’ve been SOOOOO busy! The momma g and grandma moved into our house, and we are still adjusting. Luckily, the house fits us quite comfortably and we hardly ever even run into each other. Since the last post I’ve made a few more cakes but here is just a few:
ROBOT AWESOME BIRTHDAY CAKE:

Unfortunately, It was raining like no one’s bizz on the way into chuckie cheese, so the robot eventually decided to melt. Haha. He lasted long enough though.
Next fav:

I’ll post some more of this cake as soon as my husband gives me the pics. Haha!
